5 events happening this weekend that we think look cool - for Halloween haters.

We personally love Halloween but we accept that it can be very annoying at times. It's a perfectly reasonable stance to take that Halloween is terrible and if you have this stance, you should not be punished for it by having to stay in this weekend. With that in mind we scoured the thousands of events that are happening this weekend and found the dozen or so ones that had nothing to do with fancy dress. We then whittled the list down to the ones that we thought looked especially cool. So here's our list of non-Halloween events happening this weekend that we think you should be aware of.

Maison Kitsune

French taste-setters Maison Kitsuné are firm favourites here in Seoul. Known both for their coveted clothing designs and their lively club-nights.

Bucking the trend that every event within a fortnight of Halloween has to be orange and black in design, Kitsune will be putting on a night of both international and Korea-based DJs that has nothing to do with this months festivities.

Brooklyn-based KittyCash will be playing a rich mix of hip-hop, disco, and electronica with a “hazy love-inspired atmosphere”. There’ll also be a DJ set from one of South Korea’s biggest indie names, Glen Check.

To get access to this event you have to RSVP on their site, so be sure to do so to avoid disappointment.

Arts Flea Market

This Saturday there’ll be a really cool looking flea market with a special focus on the arts. There’ll be vintage clothing, books, CDs, LPs and a range of interesting things on sale.

On top of this there’ll be some seriously awesome bands playing. The very cool and very sensual We Dance will be performing. Psychedelic band and form KSM-faves Sears will also be playing there.

There’s be DJs and other live music too. It’s on in the day time so is definitely worth checking out before your night time plans.

Speaking of Sears – they’ll also be playing at Channel 1969 later that night with Damn-Sun and National Pigeon Unity.

Trus'me Live

British sample hound Trus’Me will be playing a special set this weekend at Beton Brut Seoul.

Trus’Me has been around for about ten years now producing an absurdly broad range of sample-based dance floor ammunition. He covers everything from house to disco to funk soul stuff too. When listening to his music it becomes clear there’s real heart in what he’s doing.

This will definitely be a fun night and if you’re looking to avoid Halloween silliness, this should not be missed.

Oh, ho ho. What’s this? We saved the best for last? Damn right.
